Our Philosophy

At Wag-N-Sniff, we believe in meeting dogs where they are — as social, working pack animals with simple but essential needs. Our training philosophy is rooted in understanding the natural dynamics of the pack: leadership, energy, boundaries, and trust.

We combine balanced leadership, energy-based training, and positive reinforcement to help create a fulfilled, well-adjusted dog. We guide owners in setting clear boundaries and limitations, helping their dogs understand who’s in charge in a calm, confident, and fair way. Without leadership, dogs will naturally step into that role themselves — often leading to behaviours like anxiety, reactivity, or pushy, demanding behaviour.

We’re strong believers in correction and reward — because just like humans, dogs learn through clear feedback. Saying “no” or using a marker to correct isn’t cruel; it’s communication. And when done fairly, it builds trust, not fear.
